Care & Maintenance
Proper care and routine maintenance will help preserve the appearance and performance of your outdoor furniture for years to come. Our poly furniture is designed for outdoor use and built to withstand the elements, but thoughtful upkeep will ensure it continues to look its best.
Caring for Poly Furniture
Poly furniture is crafted from high-density polyethylene (HDPE), a durable, weather-resistant material that will not rot, splinter, or require painting or staining.
To maintain the beauty of your furniture, we recommend regular cleaning and care.
Cleaning & Routine Maintenance
For routine cleaning:
-Use warm water and mild soap
-Clean with a soft cloth or soft-bristle brush
-Rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry
Lighter colors may require more frequent cleaning to maintain appearance.
For tougher buildup or stains:
-A non-abrasive household cleaner may be used
-Gently scrub with a soft brush as needed
Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive pads, or solvents, as these may damage the surface and affect warranty coverage.
Hardware & Fasteners
Furniture hardware is made from stainless steel for strength and durability. While stainless steel is corrosion-resistant, it may be affected by extreme environmental conditions.
In coastal or high-humidity environments:
-Rinse furniture and hardware periodically with fresh water
-Wipe hardware dry with a soft cloth
This simple step helps minimize surface corrosion and maintain appearance.
Heat & Surface Precautions
To protect your furniture:
-Do not place hot items directly on furniture surfaces
-Avoid prolonged contact with extremely hot objects, as this may damage the material
Preventing Stains & Discoloration
Certain items may cause staining if left on furniture for extended periods, including:
-Flower pots or planters
-Containers that trap moisture underneath
We recommend using protective pads or periodically repositioning items to allow surfaces to dry evenly.
Seasonal Use & Storage
Poly furniture is designed for year-round outdoor use. For added protection:
-Clean furniture before extended periods of non-use
-Use furniture covers when appropriate
-Store cushions separately in a dry, well-ventilated area
Maintaining Warranty Coverage
Following recommended care and maintenance guidelines helps preserve your furniture and supports warranty eligibility. Damage resulting from improper care, misuse, or neglect is not covered under warranty.
